Drain tile and foundation drainage installation in Fluvanna County, Virginia

Drainage and drain tile

A wet basement, standing water in the yard, a low spot that stays soft into June. Water is going somewhere. The job is deciding where.

Foundation drain tile

Perforated pipe in stone at the footer, wrapped in fabric, run to daylight or to a pit. On a new build this is cheap. On an existing house it means excavating the foundation, which isn't — but it's still cheaper than a basement you can't use.

Yard drainage and French drains

Intercept the water uphill of the problem and take it somewhere it can leave. Most standing-water complaints turn out to be a grade issue and a discharge issue together, and fixing one without the other doesn't hold.

Culverts and ditching

Driveway culverts, roadside ditching, and header ditches to keep runoff off a building site. Sized for the water that actually comes off the ground above you.
